Ordering and Delivery

Can I place an order without creating an account?

Yes. You can place an order as a guest with no obligation to create an account. We do recommend that you create an account, however, if you’d like to check your order history and have your shopping basket items and payment details saved for next time. It’s quick and easy to create an account. Just visit https://keratherapy.com/account/register and follow the instructions on-screen.

Where is my order confirmation?

The confirmation email should have been sent automatically.  Please check your junk folder in case you haven’t already and make sure Keratherapy is not blocked for spam.

How much is shipping?

Keratherapy currently ships products to areas within the United States and Canada. 

Shipping within the continental United States: Our shipping charges are $9.99 for orders below $40 and free shipping on any orders greater than $40. Shipping fees are non-refundable. Orders are processed during weekdays and processing times are usually one business day.  Shipping times are based on UPS ground delivery and can be 1 to 5 business days after processing time, depending on the location of delivery address.

Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii: Our shipping charges are $39.99 for orders below $100, $29.99 on any orders greater than $100 and free shipping on any orders greater than $200. Shipping fees are non-refundable. Orders are processed during weekdays and processing times are usually one business day.  Shipping times are based on UPS ground delivery and can be 5 to 8 business days after processing time, depending on the location of delivery address.

Shipping to Canada: Our shipping charges are $29.99 for orders below $100 USD, $21.99 on any orders greater than $100 and free shipping on any orders greater than $200. Shipping fees are non-refundable. Orders are processed during weekdays and processing times are usually one business day.  Shipping times are based on UPS ground delivery and can be 6 to 10 business days after processing time, depending on the location of delivery address.

Returns/Exchanges/Refunds

What is your return policy?

We accept returns or exchanges only for unopened and unused products purchased within 30 days. To start a return or exchange of product, please email us at customerservice@keratherapy.com with the information of order number, name and item.  Please confirm in the email that the product is not opened or used.  Once we send a confirmation email, please send the box with the below:

  1. Enclose a copy of your order with the unopened and unused portion of the product.
  2. Pack the items carefully to avoid damage in transit.
  3. Please address your package to:

Please Note: Only products purchased from Keratherapy’s website may be returned or exchanged. All returns and exchanges must be approved by a Keratherapy Customer Service Representative. All exchanges will be subject to a fifteen percent (15%) restocking and handling fee.  Shipping fees are not refundable.

For your protection and to ensure prompt delivery, we recommend that you send the exchange via an insured method which can be tracked in the case of loss (i.e. UPS or insured Parcel Post). We cannot refund or exhange any amount in case of loss shipment or package. Where is my refund?

Please allow 5-10 business days for the refund to appear on your account. 

What happens if my products arrived damaged?

When your order arrives, please inspect the carton for any damage that may have occurred during shipment. It is normal for the shipping carton to show some wear; however, if damage occurred to the item(s) in your shipment, please contact us immediately at 1-954-628-5163.

Please provide the order number along with your email address and phone number for fastest service. To assure prompt resolution, please retain the shipping box, packing materials and the damaged items for inspection by the carrier.

What is Keratherapy Rewards?

We wanted to show our appreciation to you with our exclusive rewards program. By creating an Keratherapy account, you'll earn points for activities on our site, like referrals and purchases. You can use them to earn discounts off purchases, so the more you collect the more you save.

Who can join Keratherapy Rewards?

Anyone with an account is automatically enrolled.

How do I earn points?

You can earn points for all sorts of activities, including referring friends, and making purchases. To see all the ways you can earn points click the *Earn Points* tab in the menu.

How do I redeem my points?

Select the tab called *Redeem Points*. Here you'll see all the rewards we offer. If you have enough points, you can redeem them for a reward.

Is there a limit to the number of points I can earn?

No. Go ahead and earn as many as you can.

What do the 'approved', 'pending' and 'cancelled' statuses mean?

Approved: These points can be redeemed on rewards immediately.

Pending: These points need to be verified before you can redeem them. This typically applies to purchases and referrals.

Cancelled: These points will not be added to your account. For example, this will happen if you cancel a purchase (the points will change from pending to cancelled)

Can I combine rewards?

Rewards can be combined with other offers or promotional discounts but only one reward is allowed to be redeemed per order. 

General Keratherapy Questions

What can Keratherapy do for my hair?

Keratherapy promises to help deliver the optimum keratin levels for all hair types and textures, resulting in the healthiest hair possible!

Why is keratin important?

Hair is made up of 80-90% keratin protein, so healthy hair requires healthy keratin content. Learn more on our Keratin 101 page.

Do I need to do anything to maintain my keratin levels?

YES! Beginning in our 20’s, our body’s ability to produce all the things we count on to maintain healthy skin, hair, etc. (collagen, amino acids, enzymes, keratin, etc.) begins to decrease.

This decline in production continues as we age, and in the case of keratin; additional exposures to chemicals, hot tools & environmental factors further deplete our keratin levels. This condition is called Keratin Deficiency.

Can Keratherapy help replenish keratin levels in my hair?

YES! Keratin cannot be replaced permanently, so there is a need for ongoing Keratin Replenishment.

Simply including keratin as an ingredient is not enough, though. To be most effective the keratin needs to be delivered in a way where the hair can actually hold onto it for an extended period of time. (see KERABOND below).

What is KERABOND™?

Are Keratherapy products tested on animals?

Keratherapy never tests on animals!

Are Keratherapy products vegan?

The keratin used in our products is derived from sheep’s wool. This is considered an animal by-product so would not be considered Vegan. For Vegan products, please review our Trueplex Bamboo Miracle Vegan Collection.

Where are the Perfect Hold Hairspray and Dry Shampoo products?

Currently, the Dry Shampoo and the Perfect Hold items are unavailable due to reformulation, registration and new laws.

We expect to have the items in stock but not for a little while and therefore have removed it off of our website.

What is a Smoothing & Conditioning Treatment?

Smoothing & Conditioning Treatments renew and transform all hair types into silky, soft, shiny hair for days, weeks, or months; depending on the product or formula. Many treatments offer varying degrees of curl reduction. Keratherapy Professional Treatments also replenish keratin in keratin-deficient hair.

What are the results of a Smoothing & Conditioning Treatment?

All treatments will strengthen and renew all hair types & textures. They also eliminate frizz, repel humidity, and speed up blow drying, ironing, or overall finishing time by up to 50% or more. Curl reduction is determined by the existing texture/chemical history of hair and the treatment used. Straightening any remaining curl is a breeze with a blow dryer & brush or flat iron at low temperatures. The smoothing effect of a Keratherapy treatment product.

Are Keratherapy Smoothing Treatments safe for highlighted, bleached, grey, relaxed, or damaged hair?

Keratherapy treatments can be used on any type of hair, as long as it can withstand the heat of the iron during the treatment. Clients with breakage or severely damaged hair should consult with their Stylist about a repair regimen prior to receiving the service.

Can hair color be applied after a Keratherapy Smoothing Treatment?

Yes, but it is recommended to wait 1-2 weeks.

Can a Smoothing Treatment be applied directly after a color?

Some Keratherapy treatments can be done immediately after a color service, and some require a waiting period of 1-2 weeks. Consult with your Stylist to determine the best treatment for you.

What products should be used to maintain Keratherapy Smoothing Treatments?

Use any Keratherapy Keratin Infused Home Care Collections to get the most longevity from all Keratherapy treatments or even treatments from other brands. Keratherapy products are infused with KERABOND™ to ensure maximum smoothing, shine, and condition. It is important to avoid sodium chloride in products when caring for a smoothing treatment.
